Is that me, or were the only films that I saw in theaters that year were “The Lego Movie”, “Guardians of the Galaxy”(THE film that made me a fan of the MCU), the awful Michael Bay produced “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” film, “Big Hero 6”, and “Interstellar”(which was my introduction to Christopher Nolan)(and I didn’t see it in IMAX because I saw it VERY late in it’s run(I saw it in late December of 2014), and by that time, the third “Hobbit movie was playing in all of “Interstellar”‘s IMAX screens)? Yeah, the amount of films I saw that year were VERY limited. I missed a lot of films that I heard were great(like “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “X-Men: Days Of Future Past) and skipped a lot of these films I flopped like the PLAGUE. Yeah.
Jack Ryan,Pompeii, Muppets Most Wanted, Winter Soldier, DoFP, Noah (which should have been called Noah AD or something), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Into the Woods (surprisingly since I don’t really like musicals), The Fault in Our Stars (watched it in an empty, decrepit bargain theater near the end of its run which was fantastic, and how on earth did Divergent girl and Baby Driver guy make a good couple? but it worked), Edge of Tomorrow, Theory of Everything, Whiplash, Birdman, Big Eyes, Foxcatcher, and Citizenfour were the ones that I really liked from that year, along with a few of the movies you mentioned, except the Lego Movie, because that is overrated to an absurd degree and the song Everything is Awesome makes me want to die every time I hear it.
Yeah I agree with you!
